CONGRATULATIONS

... to Roger Allsop who became the oldest person to swim the English Channel.  He is 70. Brilliant!

You too could swim the equivalent of the English Channel.  Why not set yourself a target of swimming the Channel  lane-by-lane in The Oasis pool.   It is 21 miles, or 1344 lengths.  If you did 30 lengths a week it would take only 44 weeks.  Less than a year - what are you waiting for!

SEA SWIMMING THIS WEEK

Sea Temperature   17oC   (About as warm as it is going to get this year)

Quite a few people have been spotted in the sea this week. I went in Thursday, it was a bit rough. Friday was better, and Saturday better still.  From the weather charts we should have a good few days of swimming this week before the wind speeds pick up again.

With the New Moon on Monday we will see Spring tides from the middle of the week so do check tide times before leaping in.

FUN AND INFORMATIVE

Have a look at this site, lots of excellent advice, training videos etc., Lots of information for ALL levels.

TIDE TIMES

I have found a better website for showing the high and low water tide times for Selsey Bill.  It also shows  sun rise and sun set, neaps and springs etc.  Each week I will post a link to this site and you can pick the information for the day(s) that you want.
